just a long sequence of idiosyncratic generalisations, terribly boring - I had to put it down for fear of exploding in anger!
My husband and I loved this book when we read it from the library - we bought 2 copies for two of our children -- Tim Winton's writing is magic. He touches the heart of Australia and speaks a timely rebuke to our general carelessness of this great land in which we live and must preserve. His childhood/youth memoir is fascinating - wish we could have such experiences! The copies we got were new. Thanks a bunch!
